AiRstayz Partners With OpenKey To Offer Keyless Access To Guest Rooms
AiRstayz, a coalition of hoteliers in Australia, partners with OpenKey, a standard for universal digital key technology, to provide guests with easier access to their room. Short-term rental management companies around the world are implementing the OpenKey software into its operational processes. AiRstayz will have the pleasure of bringing this state-of-the-art technology to Australia.
The Birches Serviced Apartments will be the first hotel in Australia to utilize the OpenKey app, allowing guests to access their room from their smartphone. The property is owned and operated by Hotelier Jennie Kerr. By downloading the app on the smartphone, guests will be able to skip the front desk, notify the hotel of early or late arrival/checkout, request directions to the hotel, check-in and contact the front desk 24-hours a day.
AiRstayz founder Marc Italia claims that the coalition was founded to improve guest experience, with Smart Technology. OpenKey will provide guests easy access to their room and staff. The OpenKey app is available for both iOS and Android devices.
“Marc and his team at AiRstayz are the perfect partner for us to grow our international footprint in Australia,” said TJ Person, CEO of OpenKey. “Our universal mobile key works with any digital hotel lock, providing both hotel owners and managers worldwide with maximum flexibility and guests with a simple mobile key experience. We look forward to implementing OpenKey with AiRstayz and their expanding number of accommodation providers and bringing the experience of mobile key to Melbourne.”
AiRstayz has a wide range of accommodation properties that are located near restaurants and major shopping areas. The properties also offer convenient airport access, easy Uber drop off/pickup and public transportation services.
