Ooma Unveils Smart Home Monitoring Solution For Small Businesses And Consumers
Ooma, a home automation platform for consumers and small businesses, unveils its comprehensive DIY home monitoring solution, Ooma Home Monitoring. The system will transmit event alerts to the user’s connected iOS and Android devices. It features motion, door, window and water sensors, along with remote 911 calling from the home.
Utilizing the Ooma Home Monitoring mobile app, homeowners will be able to manage the system right from their smartphone or tablet. Users will have the option of receiving event alerts via email, phone call, SMS and app. The remote 911 calling feature will definitely come in handy for senior citizens, when they find themselves in a compromising situation. When the call is transmitted to the 911-call center, the caller’s information will automatically be transmitted to the dispatcher.

Ooma Home Monitoring is capable of supporting up to 100 Smart sensors, utilizing the latest version of the Ooma Telo. Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT), which is utilized by cordless handsets, allows the sensors to work wirelessly.
