Smart Home devices can be quite expensive, making them out of reach for many consumers. Creating a home automation network will require a specific amount of funds, which is why Vivint Smart Home decided to partner with Citizens Bank. The two companies will work together to bring Smart devices a little closer to the consumer.
Vivint Flex Pay, an innovative payment plan, with zero percent interest financing available to qualifying customers through Citizens Bank. Consumers will have a wide variety of connected gadgets to choose from, including Smart Locks, surveillance systems, indoor cameras, thermostats and doorbell camera, all which can be controlled via the Amazon Echo.
The Vivint Smart Home app will allow consumers to stay in contact with their home from anywhere, by remotely activating these devices connected to the home automation network. Customers will receive 24/7 customer support, equipment warranty, in-home service and award-winning monitoring.
“By separating the purchase of products and services, we’re introducing a model similar to the one used in the cell phone industry to provide greater flexibility for consumers as their needs evolve,” said Alex Dunn, president at Vivint Smart Home. “This new payment plan will also make it easier for Vivint customers to continue to add the latest innovations to their smart homes.”
Eligible customers will have the option of purchasing a customized Smart Home package, including installation at a zero percent APR. Citizens Bank is one of the largest retail banks in the United States, along with a $39.99 monthly fee for Smart security or $49.99 for Smart Home, with a no contract option.
Vivint Smart Home will roll the Vivint Flex Pay during the first quarter of 2017.
